Taking Photos

Now it’s time to snap away. Here’s the detailed process:

  1. Accessing the Camera

    • From the home screen, tap your event.

    • Hit the Camera button (a shutter icon) to open the interface.

  2. Shooting Photos

    • Camera Options:

      • Toggle between front and rear cameras using the flip icon.

      • Pinch to zoom (up to 3x on supported devices).

    • Tap the shutter button to capture. No advanced settings—just point and shoot for simplicity.

    • For best results Flash is on by default, but toggling off will keep the flash off until user turns it back on.

    • Note: Photos can’t be retaken or edited post-capture, mimicking a true disposable camera.

  3. Uploading (coming soon)

    • Photos upload automatically via Apple CloudKit (Apple’s secure cloud platform).

    • A “Photo Added” confirmation appears briefly.

    • Requires an internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular)—offline photos queue until you’re online.

  4. Photo Limits and Storage

    • No cap on photo quantity, but storage duration varies:

      • Free/Deluxe: 30 days post-reveal.

      • Premium: 1 year.

    • Check remaining storage time in the event settings.

  5. Delayed Reveal

    • Photos are locked until 9 AM the next day (or your custom reveal time for Premium).

    • This builds suspense—no peeking allowed!
